Wyndham Midland Downtown

My daughter’s wedding reception was held here in August 2025. We chose this location because most guests were coming from out of town and because they offered reasonable rates for catering, rooms etc. I can’t give enough praise to the entire staff, especially Lorina, Lizbeth and the entire food, beverage, service, front desk staff. Not only were they an absolute delight to work with, they really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for a beautiful evening. Food was outstanding and aesthetically pleasing, service staff and bartenders were so kind, as were the people at the front desk. This is an older establishment but everything was clean and accommodating. The wedding was on Saturday, but we were kindly allowed to decorate the ballroom and adjoining entryway the day before. Heartfelt appreciation for such lovely, hardworking people.

Overall good experience. The hotel was nice and close to where we were going. The room was clean, cold as soon as we walked in (a positive for us) and had 2 shower heads opposite one another in the shower. Clean your front and back at the same time! Opportunities include wifi not working, unusual layout where elevators are in several disjointed places to get you to different areas, and no clear parking ( but we did eventually find the parking garage.)

This used to be the best hotel in Midland. It was the Hilton until they were bought out. It is an older hotel, and it shows, but I wouldn’t call it “seedy”. It’s clean, the ac was freezing cold, the view was nice, and the internet was fast. There’s no free breakfast but the price was comparable to a very seedy low end hotel with free breakfast (likely under “renovation” of some kind.) There’s is a bar and restaurant as well as a Starbucks franchise inside the hotel lobby, but there are also lots of good restaurants and shops within walking distance and a nice park right across the street. I had no problem finding free parking and the location and service is the best Midland has to offer (in my opinion). I used to live in Midland and stay here when I return to visit friends and family. The people who work here are super nice and friendly. I asked the front desk what time check out was and she said 11 “but I can extend checkout to noon if you like.” Overall, I’d say it’s worth the stay.

I've been visiting this area of Texas for 2 years now and this hotel undoubtedly is one of the best. Previously, double tree by Hilton and now Wyndham Midland Downtown. Close to downtown, good rooms and service is acceptable. Covered parking garage that is accessible through the back alley. Breakfast is not included. But there's a restaurant at the lobby that you could use. Overall, it is a very good hotel in this area. Highly recommended. _______ Update: I would strongly recommend to their management that they upgrade their Internet infrastructure. The WiFi speed is depressing and gives you Dial-Up speed, in case you might forgot.

I had a pleasant stay at the Wyndham Hotel in Midland, TX. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff was friendly and helpful, and check-in/check-out was smooth. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping. Overall, it was a comfortable and reliable stay, and I would consider staying here again when visiting Midland.

it was fine. employees were nice. rooms were fine, but bathroom was a bit outdated and VERY cramped. there was a dent in the shower rod from where the door had repeatedly been bumped against it. they have an option to request free late check out and it specifically says that gold, platinum, and diamond members can request it, but when i requested, they denied it and said only diamond members can ask for the late check out. okay.. then don't claim to offer it for gold & platinum members then?? update the site idk. I've also never had this issue at a wyndham hotel before. also, just a heads up, there is a $75 deposit, but mine got returned back to me fairly quickly. other than that, it's fine. close to plenty of restaurants and a park.

Pleasantly surprised stay. Room was very clean. Could use a few updates but I won't knock the hotel for that. You're basically getting a $250 a night doubletree room for $100 through wyndham less the doubletree cookie.. it looks like they have a restaraunt and a lounge/bar. The restaraunt doesn't appear to be open but they are using the lounge space as the restaraunt. It would be nice if the actual restaraunt space was used as a restaraunt and the lounge/bar was for hanging out and drinking. But in all It wasn't bad.

The room was clean, smell good huge the only problem I had is that there were no refrigerators inside the room had to have medication that needed to be refrigerated. I would’ve been in trouble, but everything else went very well. Your staff is immaculate. They’re great people they care about their job and their customers. I hope there will be a reason for me to come back there again thank you for a great Stay
